Just in case you were wondering…

We get asked this a lot, so we wanted to start by letting you know that yes, our agency was named after a brown dog. Unfortunately, dogs don’t live as long as we do (we’ve been around for over twenty years now), so Max is no longer with us.

However, while the original brown dog may not be here, many of our dogs have become four legged team members and play a crucial role in our company’s culture.

If you pop in for a meeting or join us for a Zoom call, you might spot Olive, Scout, or Monty getting involved.

When it comes to wellbeing we appreciate the benefits that our furry team members bring to the office.

We love the boost they bring to productivity and morale, keeping our team happy throughout the day.

Alexis Bradbury

Director

Alexis has over 25 years PR and marketing experience across a broad range of blue chip and SME clients, so is the pro when it comes to understanding and communicating with customers. Managing our client relationships and overseeing our web development team, are also part of his everyday role.

Alexis works closely with our clients to put a clear and effective strategy in place to help them reach their goals and runs workshops to help businesses get the best results from their marketing.

Andrew Myford

Creative Director

Having founded Browndog in 1999, Andrew has 30 years experience in design and branding. He has worked extensively with local and national organisations and continues to come up with new, beautiful and creative ideas. He claims he draws rectangles for a living, but really Andrew is responsible for managing our design studio and ensuring that our best practice and quality assurance standards are met on everything that leaves our studio.

His eye for detail is second to none and he works alongside clients to ensure they are nothing less than delighted with the work created.

Andrew Parker

Senior Designer

Joining us in 2005, Andrew works on a broad range of projects for our largest clients and is adept at both on and offline design. He is the first port of call for designing brilliant brand identities, beautiful packaging and accurate artworking.

Never short of creativity, Andrew can produce superb brochure layouts, large scale graphics, exhibition stands, Point of Sale items and online assets for any business.

Chris Haigh

Senior Web Developer

With 15 years of web development behind him, Chris is our go-to for building your perfect website. His websites deliver robust solutions for large numbers of sales transactions as well as high visitor numbers for any business or purpose (plus they look wonderful).

Working on platforms such as WooCommerce and WordPress, Chris has a wealth of knowledge to ensure your website works for your business. He also manages our dedicated server systems in conjunction with our server partners WP Engine making sure any issues you may have, are solved quickly.

Kirsty Humphries

Graphic Designer

After joining us from university in 2017, Kirsty provides imaginative on and offline graphic design services across our client portfolio.

She produces a range of different work; from large scale wall graphics to digital assets to detailed print, she will find the solution to any clients vision. Kirsty also runs our Instagram account, showcasing our best work so our clients can always see what we’ve been up to!

Joshua Barr

Digital Marketing Manager

Josh is our very own Google expert and has over 10 years experience in website optimization, managing our clients’ Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and paid search campaigns. As a Google Certified Specialist, he provides the insight to take clients’ objectives and apply them to the scary world of Google, working with the web developers to deliver a total online solution.

Josh is your guy when it comes to online ads and tracking traffic, making sure you can see how successful your online presence is.

Eleanor Firth

Project Manager

Eleanor trained at Browndog as a Digital Marketing Apprentice, so we take full credit for her brilliance. Having worked here since 2017, she is responsible for the smooth running of all of our projects. Playing a key role in helping our clients to achieve their digital marketing goals, she is also the go-to resource for all things GA4 and social media marketing.

Eleanor keeps our studio running and can often be found troubleshooting with our clients or assisting with their strategies to improve online presence.

Sam Childerson

Web Designer

Sam makes building and designing websites look effortless, as he understands the perfect way to make your business look its best.

Sam has almost 10 years experience in front-end design as well as site maps and content placement, providing the whole package for a range of our clients. Form and function are equally as important for any website, something that makes Sam’s websites not only engaging, but effective.

Heather Swinfen

Graphic Designer & Animator

Having been with us since her placement year in 2017, Heather has experienced all areas of the design process, from new concept ideas to artworking for both print and digital. She is also our in house animator, bringing to life client promotional videos, logo idents and lifestyle videography. Full of enthusiasm and always on the lookout for inspiration, Heather is passionate not only about beautiful work, but working with clients to ensure their happiness.

Chris Layton

E-commerce Operations

Chris specialises in the operational side of drop shipping business models, with years of hands on experience overseeing our own e-commerce business. He’s the go to guy for all things related to third party e-fulfilment and supplier integrations.

Delivering drop shipping e-commerce projects can be a difficult task, especially when it comes to the smooth transition of data between parties - Chris’s insight is invaluable in implementing logical, customer centric processes to ensure those difficulties are alleviated.

So, if you’ve got a drop shipping project – Chris is the man to have a coffee and chat with first!

James White

Web Developer

James is our Junior Web Developer. After learning code in his free time, he joined a Kickstart scheme to expand his knowledge of website building and digital marketing. James is also passionate about anything digital including graphic design, video editing, E-books and social media.

Sam Bowers

Graphic Designer & Animator

Having spent his work experience week at Browndog during college, Sam joined our team for his university placement year and we look forward to welcoming him back after graduation.

At university Sam is studying graphic design and animation. He is an enthusiastic designer, excited to take part in all aspects of design to expand his skill set. Sam especially looks forward to developing his skills in web design, and experience working closely with clients in a real design environment.

Laura Dean

Head of Marketing

Laura joined the team after eight years of being a Browndog client. She brings with her over ten years of experience as an in-house marketer and leads on the marketing of the design and digital services that we offer. Working closely with our designers, copywriters and developers she shines a spotlight on the work that we do here at Browndog

Laura also works with new and existing clients to offer best practice advice to help with their strategy and tactics.

Alex Haswell

Content & Search Manager

Alex is one of the latest additions to our team, having joined BD Digital in September 2022. He helps our clients’ websites, social, print and brand come to life with engaging written copy.

With a background in eCommerce and bid writing, Alex always works with conversion and optimisation in mind; he doesn’t just write pretty words. Day-to-day, Alex is focusing on analysing and improving our clients’ existing content portfolios, in addition to implementing fresh content plans to enhance their visibility, engagement and sales.'

Luke Bradbury

Customer Service Executive>

Luke has over 6 years experience in customer service, including a five year stint at entertainment giant Sky, and now provides that same professional approach to our own e-commerce customers.

He is well versed in answering our customers’ enquiries, and helping them to select the correct product for their needs, whether that is on our live chat, email, or over the phone. Luke also liaises with our supply partners to ensure that customer orders are being processed efficiently and arrive on schedule.

Megan Bradbury

Content Writer

Megan strives to create high-quality content for our clients’ websites, and our own e-commerce website. She graduated from university with a degree in Creative and Professional Writing and is eager to use her knowledge to provide clients with content that is user-friendly and effective at increasing website traffic.

Megan is well versed in numerous writing styles, genres and disciplines, and is ready to create content that delivers your aims and portrays your company’s tone and personality.
