About us

We are Browndog, a full-service marketing agency working with a mixture of predominantly SMEs, through to household names and global brands. We’re a small close-knit team of 10, with skills and expertise covering branding, design, web development and integrated digital marketing tactics.

We’re a small team, but we’re big on clients.  Since we started out as a design agency in 1999 we’ve diversified and grown alongside the digital space, adapting digital technologies which have now grown the business into what is predominantly a digital agency. 

We’re now at a point where our output and demand for digital projects is at an all-time high, so we need to find more experts to join our team – that’s a pretty sweet problem to have!

Based from an office in Huddersfield but with a culture of flexible working, we encourage our employees to work how they do best, whether from home or within our relaxed office environment. However, we understand the importance of collaboration and team spirit, so we do ask our team members to make it into the office a couple of times per/week, to keep the fire burning.

About you

Our ideal candidate will immerse themselves as a key team member and be the first point of call for all things SEO within our agency. They will be managing all day-to-day aspects of our client’s organic search strategies and should have a strong understanding of technical SEO elements, supported by a wider team of developers.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing effective SEO strategies across multiple clients, industries and sectors
  • Forecasting, reporting and demonstrating ROI for client SEO strategies through KPIs
  • Conducting keyword research, content audits and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth
  • Carrying out regular technical audits and making recommendations in line with best practises
  • Implementing effective link building strategies
  • Optimising existing content and outlining recommendations for new content.
  • Writing new content where necessary.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team when required
  • Attending meetings and travelling to clients when required
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships

What you’ll need

  • 3+ years’ previous experience in a similar role (agency experience is a bonus!)
  • Extensive knowledge of SEO
  • A grasp of technical SEO principles
  • An eye for detail
  • Experience writing and optimising content
  • Experience using Google Search Console & Google Analytics, as well as SEM Rush or similar.
  • To keep up with the latest developments within the SEO sector
  • Strong team work ethic
  • Self-motivated initiative and responsibility
  • To be highly results driven

How much does a good website cost to build?

  • A brochure site (a place to share information about your products or services) will cost between £6,000-£12,000 depending on the volume of pages, functional elements and any bespoke design requests you may have.
  • An E-commerce website (a place where you can sell your products or services and visitors can complete their transaction online) will cost from £10,000.

How long does it take to build a website?

Before we start any work, we’ll share a project plan which will include deadlines for providing content, and we’ll keep you updated if the expected times change.

Writing keyword-rich copy will keep visitors on your website and encourage them to work with you. If writing isn’t for you or you just don’t have time, we can produce a content plan on your behalf.

  • A marketing campaign animation or company/product introduction between 90-120 seconds in length will cost between £2,500 and £3,000. This will depend on the length of the video, the content, and any additional options such as a voice over or music. Don’t worry, we can guide you through best practice and find a plan that fits for you.
  • If you’d like us to produce a logo ident or gif animations for you to use on social media and in smaller campaigns, you can expect to pay between £250-£300. This will be a much smaller brief and will take less time than a campaign animation.
  • We’re more than happy to put together a bespoke package for you to include multiple campaign videos, logo idents, voice overs and photography or videography as needed. We do it all!

How long does it take to produce an animation?

But here’s the kind of time you can expect your animation to take:

  • Marketing campaign animations – this will usually take us about three weeks to prepare. We like to allow a week for content and styling, followed by storyboarding and revisions. Finally, we’ll take another week to animate your work. These things are a work of art, you can’t rush them (and we won’t).
  • Logo idents, gifs and short animations – we estimate that this will take up to two weeks.
