Welcome to the latest edition of โgetting to know the teamโ, where weโre introducing our new Developer, Hussain Zeeb.
If youโve been reading our series this year, youโll know that our team is the most important aspect of Browndog. Hussain is one of three new members to join us this year and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome him. Hussain joins our Senior Developer Chris Haigh, resident Fireman Sam Childerson and recently appointed Junior Developer Lauren Dew to bolster our website development service. We’ve thrown him in at the deep end and already found ourselves leaning on his expertise to support both new and existing clients. His first website development with us is well underway and we can’t wait to share this huge new website with you all. In the meantime, here’s everything you need to know about Hussain:
Who are you and whatโs your role?
Hussain here, I’m a Web Developer who specialises in the front end.
Tell us some backgroundโฆ
After completing secondary school, I pursued Information Technology at West Herts College, where I discovered my passion for Multimedia through a particularly engaging module. This interest led me to further my education at Brunel University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia followed by a Master’s in Advanced Multimedia and 3D Technologies. My enthusiasm for web development and coding deepened as I worked on designing user interfaces within my previous roles.
What kind of projects do you enjoy working on?
I particularly enjoy working on projects that challenge me to solve complex design problems or integrate latest technologies, such as modern JavaScript frameworks and interactive UI elements. Iโm also passionate about collaborating with diverse teams and clients to bring unique ideas to life and deliver solutions that address specific user needs and business goals.
Where in the world would you like to visit?
Japan has always fascinated me due to its rich culture and unique way of life. For several years, I’ve been planning a trip to Japan, but family circumstances have unfortunately delayed my plans – Japan please give me a few years, you’re next on my list! My eagerness to visit Japan is driven by my love for sushi, tempura, and the exciting prospect of visiting Super Nintendo World.
What unpopular opinion do you have?
Ketchup can go on everything.
What are you loving at the moment?
Moving to Leeds! Making the move from Watford to Leeds was a significant change after living in Watford for 35 years. With a growing family and the need for more space without stretching our budget, relocating was a crucial decision. It has been one of the best choices Iโve made in life. While Iโm not a huge fan of the Yorkshire accent (sorry), the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and being just 15 minutes away from the city more than make up for it.
How do you spend your free time?
Trying to keep up with my kids! They help me keep fit by joining them on the playground equipment in the parks. Other than that when I get some me time I like to indulge in a film, meet up with mates and get some good food in.
Whatโs a life goal of yours?
Financial freedom – I like the movements of minimalism and FIRE. Iโll throw in my career goal whilst Iโm here – a Fullstack Developer.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Iโm definitely an early bird – I enjoy my sleep and would even take a midday nap if I get the chance. Do I sound old, or is this a sign of embracing a more restful lifestyle?
