How to create a company presentation that works

The traditional company presentation is still alive and well, and it needs some TLC!

A company presentation is a useful tool in your belt when it comes to sharing company information; whether itโ€™s for a sales pitch, investment, or onboarding clients and staff. Itโ€™s your chance to communicate who you are, what you do and why it matters. As a visual tool, the design plays a huge role in how your message is received.

Here at Browndog, we believe a well-designed presentation plays a key role in your overall strategy. With each colour, font, and graphic, we can help guide your audience through your story, keeping them engaged and helping them retain key information.

The best company presentations will:

  • Tell your story – marketing is all about storytelling, and your company presentation should do just that. Your slides should be structured around a clear narrative, not just a sales pitch for your products or services.
  • Reflect your brand – use consistent fonts, colours, and tone of voice to reinforce who you are.
  • Simplify complex information – a nice mix of visuals, icons, and infographics turns data into something people actually remember.

What should you include in a company presentation?

Donโ€™t kill your audience with content. The best company presentations will be concise and to the point – a presentation should be heavily supported by a presenter (and vice versa). Utilise the space on the page to share bullet points and small pieces of information that can serve as discussion prompts, and an opportunity to give the recipient more information if they want it. Similarly, it shouldnโ€™t be overly designed – so much so that it distracts from the message youโ€™re trying to convey.

We recommend a basic structure that includes:

  • A strong introductory slide, setting out your purpose or proposition.
  • A short โ€œwho we areโ€ section to introduce your company/team and values.
  • Clear, visually appealing case studies or examples of your work.
  • Key services or capabilities, presented in a simple, visual format where possible.
  • A memorable closing slide with a clear next step or call to action.

Itโ€™s essential to make sure that each section flows logically, with a consistent and carefully considered layout – we always recommend against โ€˜wall of textโ€™ slides or bulleted lists with more than 6 points, and weโ€™re happy to help you explore ways to display your information in manageable chunks!

Be consistent

Consistency is key to making a presentation feel professional and polished. Making sure you use the same fonts, colours, layouts and imagery throughout, helps your audience focus on your message, rather than getting distracted by differences in design elements.

At Browndog, we design presentations using the Adobe Suite* because it gives us precise control over every element and ensures your slides look intentional and cohesive. This creative freedom to design without restriction ensures your presentation is completely unique, and visually matches your existing brand.

Our approach helps us to make sure your brand story flows naturally and makes every slide feel like it belongs to the same visual narrative. If updates are needed later, we can easily make these for you while keeping the overall design consistent.
