Welcome to the latest meet the team, introducing our newest member, Arny.
Arnyโs Story
Arny had possibly the roughest start to life out of all our extended furry team. Found in a field near Pokrovsk, now one of the most devastated cities in eastern Ukraine, at only a few weeks old, Arny had just his mother and brother.
It is believed that his mum was once a loved pet due to her appearance and nature, and that perhaps they were left behind when their family evacuated the area. Fortunately, they were rescued in time and taken to a safer region, where he and his brother grew up in a home-based mini-shelter.
Thanks to Paws Help UK (Charity #1209924) Arny and his brother were brought over to the UK to find their second chance at happiness. They were both originally fostered together, but the boisterous pair proved to be too difficult for their foster parents, and the decision was made to split them up.
Arny and his brother Archie went their separate ways after 9 months. Archie went to Essex and Arny went to Folkestone to live with a wonderful fosterer, Tracey, and her pack of 8 dogs, all of which she had either rescued or adopted.
It wasnโt long before our SEO & Content Manager, Megan, came across his post and picture, fell instantly in love and had the adoption application filled out before her partner even had a chance to say โslow down!โ. After little resistance and some very positive home checks, the date was set to pick him up and bring him to his forever home.
Following a very early, long drive to Folkestone (and a treacherous, even longer drive back) Arny made his way into his new family and home in Mirfield, and also made his way into the Browndog team.
About Arny
Arny is an 11 month old boy, whose breed is unknown (to our dog enthusiasts; let us know your guesses!). He is still a little timid when meeting new people, even though you wouldnโt think it when you hear how vocal he is!
Heโs also learning how to ride in the car without being sick, and how to walk past another dog without allowing excitement to course through his entire body. But over the last 2 weeks his confidence has come on leaps and bounds, and his cheeky personality is slowly but surely revealing itself.
We know that over time, he will prove himself to be a fan favourite with clients who come to visit us.
