Who are Distinctive?

We have worked with Distinctive Flooring for over 10 years, so were delighted to be asked to give their brand identity a fresh new look. Distinctive sell a range of high quality flooring including easy-fit click systems, luxury vinyl and innovative carpet tiles.

The Brief

The brand refresh was motivated by a new product launch and Distinctive felt it was time for ‘out with the old’. Their new brand needed to have multiple uses in order to work across different platforms for different markets including consumer, retail, trade and commercial.

Developing the brand

We designed a typographical logo, a range of logo assets and new colour scheme to rebrand Distinctive with a more contemporary look and feel. To help differentiate between the markets, Browndog opted for heart imagery to appeal to homeowners and roundel logo to work alongside commercial collateral.

Both reflected the relaxed but luxurious feel of the brand and feature across a range of touchpoints.

Stunning interior shots

Stunning interior shots make up part of the Distinctive brand and our team are involved in producing this photography to be included in brochures, adverts and on their website. Sourcing a variety of props, and with a little bit of art direction, room sets are created and photographed at a professional level by our team.

We don’t shy away from video production either, with step-by-step fitting videos filmed for Distinctive’s digital platforms, to help both personal DIYers and professional fitters to learn the best way to install their flooring.

Launching the brand at Harrogate Flooring Show

The perfect launch for their new brand was the Harrogate Flooring Show, which we managed from concept through to build. We designed the initial layout, created the stand artwork, hired contractors for the build and helped the event go off without a hitch.

Point of Sale stands also featured, which will be implemented in stores throughout the country. Plus, new merchandise let visitors walk away with tote bags, stationery and who can say no to a travel mug? Moving forward, we are excited to continue producing both beautiful print and effective digital work with Distinctive – bringing the elegance to everyday.
